Who we are
This website, www.weareorin.com, is run by Orin Intelligence Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17493369). Our registered office is Suite RA01, 195-197 Wood Street, London, E17 3NU. In this policy, "Orin", "we" and "us" means Orin Intelligence Ltd.
We're responsible for the personal data you share with us through this website, which makes us the "data controller". If you have any questions about this policy, email us at info@weareorin.com.
What we collect
- When you use our contact form: your name, email address, company or job title, and your message.
- When you complete our scorecard: your name, email address, company or job title, your answers to the scorecard questions and your results.
- When you visit our website: basic usage data, such as pages visited, browser and device type, and approximate location. This helps us understand how people use the site.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for anything you wouldn't reasonably expect.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk about working together
- To send you your scorecard results and, after that, occasional emails with related insights and information about how we can help. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time
- To keep internal records of our conversations with you
- To understand how our website is used, so we can improve it and our services
Our legal basis is legitimate interests: responding to people who contact us and running our business. If we go on to work together, we'll also use your data to carry out our contract with you.
We only send marketing emails to people who have completed our scorecard, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We don't send marketing emails to people who have only used our contact form unless they've asked us to.
Who we share it with
We only share your data with trusted service providers who help us run our business:
- our website host (Lovable) and its security provider (Cloudflare)
- Fillout, which runs our contact form
- ScoreApp, which runs our scorecard and sends your results
- our customer relationship management (CRM) system, where we store enquiries securely
- our email provider
- professional advisers, such as our accountant or lawyer, where needed
These providers only use your data on our instructions. Some may store data outside the UK. When that happens, we make sure the safeguards UK data protection law requires are in place.
How long we keep it
If you contact us or complete our scorecard and we don't go on to work together, we'll delete your details within 2 years. If you become a client, we'll keep records for as long as we need them for the work, and for up to 6 years afterwards for legal and accounting reasons. Deleted data may stay in backups for a short time.
Keeping your data secure
We use reputable providers with appropriate security measures to protect your data from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. If you think your data has been misused, contact us straight away at info@weareorin.com.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We use the following:

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Our contact form (provided by Fillout) and our scorecard (provided by ScoreApp) are embedded from those providers' websites. When you use them, they may set their own cookies to make the form or scorecard work. These are covered by Fillout's and ScoreApp's own privacy and cookie policies.
Objecting to analytics: if you'd rather we didn't use the analytics cookie, email info@weareorin.com and we'll stop. You can also block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
- ask us to correct or delete it
- object to or restrict how we use it
- ask us to transfer it to another organisation
To use any of these rights, email info@weareorin.com. We'll respond within one month and won't charge you, unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first at info@weareorin.com. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
